Advances in neuroscience will allow future messaging to include feeds for touch and thought, bringing sender and reciever closer together. Long Distance explores the relationship and interaction of the lone, isolated astronaut with his girlfriend back on earth. New technology brings them closer...but for her, not close enough. When her latest message fails to include touch and thought feeds we begin to wonder if we can really become closer through technology, or does technology, in reality, always come between us?
